Since the first building rose in 1953, Finlay Park has continued to evolve while staying true to its vision. Inspired by Dawn Finlay’s words, we now look to create a bold, future-ready campus for tomorrow’s youth.

We are looking toward the future and what the facilities will look like for Finlay Park, we are reminded of what was written in the conclusion of Dawn Finlay’s book in a Pebble in a Pool “we are beginning to see another pattern emerging, breathtaking in its newness… a modern complex in buildings to meet the needs of tomorrow’s youth”.
This is precisely what we have in these plans. These plans are bold and audacious, yet carefully and prayerfully considered. We want to show you what Finlay Park can be in the future and to get there we need to start with Stage 1 – Central.

What Finlay Park Has Meant to Me
Finlay Park has played a huge part in my life over the years. At the age of 11, I attended my very first summer camp there, and it was an incredible experience, it was where I came to know Jesus as my Lord and Savior. My cabin leader, Grant, was so patient with me that week, and his kindness made a lasting impact on my life.
From that summer on, I never missed a camp. Every year, every time the camp opened, I was there right up until I was 14, when I went to live with Rodney and Betty Morse and began volunteering at the camp. Finlay Park became like a second home to me. I’ve made amazing memories there, witnessed incredible things happen, and built friendships that have lasted a lifetime.
I started going to Finlay Park when I was 7-8 years old. Went to camp most school holidays and eventually became a leader. My group of friends, Emma, Caitlyn (Bulldog), Ashleigh, Ashlee, Meg, Holly, Eden, Amy, Gina etc we were all known as the “plastics”. Not a holiday that went by, when we were in separate cabins.
You would have seen us down at the banana boat/biscuit rides for the majority of the afternoons, or down by the pool. I left there with lifelong friends and am still in contact with the girls to this day. I can’t wait to start sending my children here and experience what I did as a child growing up. I have the best stories and memories from Finlay Park.
My time at Finlay Park were some of the best years of my life, from meeting so many new people, gaining a new family, and becoming closer to God. Finlay Park has been such a big part of my life and has helped shape me to be the person I am today! I will always carry those memories close to my heart, and I am looking forward to seeing it again.
